21st January 2014 – Nissan LEAF global sales reach 100,000 units. The 100,000th all-electric Nissan LEAF is being bought by a customer in the United Kingdom. The Nissan LEAF, the world’s first mass-produced zero emissions vehicle, remains the best-selling EV in history with a 45% market share.

16th January 2014 – The Nissan Sport Sedan Concept, shown at the Detroit motor show, is claimed to display a number of design signatures that will appear on future models. Speculation suggests the car offers an exaggerated view of how the next-generation Nissan Maxima will appear.

8th January 2014 – Nissan announced that the all-new Qashqai (named X-Trail in Japan)SUV will commence sales at dealers throughout Japan starting December 16.Targeting young customers who enjoy outdoor sports, the new Qashqai is a continuously evolving authentic SUV. It features the popular ALL MODE 4X4-i system and advanced chassis control technologies that have been adopted as world-firsts. Combined with other technologies that help improve fuel efficiency, the all-new X-Trail delivers excellent driving performance and achieves best-in-class 1 fuel economy of 16.4 km/L.

20th November 2013 – Nissan expands Zero Emission leadership into new product segments- Commercial Vehicles and Sports Cars. Nissan is continuing to take the lead in ground-breaking innovation in the pursuit of zero emissions, by expanding its leadership of electric vehicles into new product segments.

10th December 2013 – Nissan will hold an 80th Anniversary Heritage Car Parade in Yokohama on December 23 to commemorate the establishment of the company 80 years ago and express its appreciation to customers. The parade event will take place at the Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery in Yokohama and the surrounding area.
