Jeep Competitors

Jeep basically manufactures off-road vehicles or SUVs and all major manufacturers have 1 or 2 SUVs in their model lineup. So, all major manufacturers like GM, Toyota, Honda, Ford, VW group, BMW, Hyundai, Nissan, Land Rover etc. is a competitor to Jeep. The Jeep is also looking to enter the small crossover SUV market with the new Jeepster that will face tough competition in the emerging markets where many small crossovers SUVs are already present. New Jeepster’s possible competitors could be Kia Soul, Mini Countryman, and Nissan Juke.

As we can see in the above table the off-road capabilities of Cherokee is much better than its competitors. The approach angle, breakover angle, departure angle and running clearance are all higher than that of its competitors. So, Cherokee can take you anywhere without any fuss. So, the biggest selling point of all the Jeeps is its off-roading capabilities. It has the edge in this context as against its competitors. But Jeep needs to improve on its interior in order to catch up with the competitors. Jeep also has many regional competitors in different countries. Jeep needs to take regional competitors into account while launching their vehicles in different countries.
