The best or nothing, is the slogan of Mercedes-benz. This brand enjoys the greatest reputation among auto field. It is also said that the history of this car is the history of all the automobile.

From the first “Motorwagen”, which is a three-wheeled, self-propelled, and rear single cylinder engine automobile, it forever changes the way people move. Worthy to saying is that the very first autocar is made by man (Carl Benz), however the first autocar driver is a woman, Bertha Benz, Carl’s wife, who promotes his invention by taking a 120-mile journey alone.

However, the period of inflation after the World War I was a hard time for sales, especially for the luxury passenger cars. Both company of Karl Benz’s and Gottlieb Daimler’s companies suffered a great painful repercussions. In that time only the financially strong companies were albe to survive.

1926 is a remarkable time-stone for the merger of Karl Benz’s and Gottlieb Daimler’s companies into the Daimler-Benz company. After that, the Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles were produced. The famous three-pointed star was supposed to symbolize Daimler’s ambition of universal motorization- on land, on water an in the air.

And the beautiful name, Mercedes is a Spanish girl’s name meaning ‘grace’, which was the name of the daughter of Austrian businessman, Emil Jellinek. Jellinek turned his enthusiasm to the automobile, believing it will be of key importance of future transport.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced many technological and safety innovations that later became common in all the vehicles. It is also a world’s oldest automotive brand still live on today. Nowadays,the Mercedes-Benz vehicles has become the quality and safety on roads everywhere. And moreover, throughout the world the name “Mercedes-Benz” is the synonymous of tradition, innovation and the future of the automobile, just like its slogan, the best or nothing.
